Traditional Boat Geometry

Excellent overview of developing boat geometry.
This guy really spent some time on this, he explains very thoroughly how to develop the geometry for setting up to build a carvel plank boat. It's very high quality too, it doesn't get grainy or degrade when you make it full size on a big screen. I must say, this video is the most comprehensive explanation of lofting and developing boat geometry that I have ever seen. I have almost every boat building book there is and it's hard to understand lofting in a book. This is not a video that you watch once and then it just sits on a shelf. This video is going to keep me learning for a long time because there's so much information in it. This video is worth a lot more than 30 dollars. Five stars for this video.

Just ok
If you want to learn how to draw up a boat (lofting) in CAD then this video might be helpful to you. One third to half of this video is spent explaining how to use the software and another 20% is probably dead silence. There are so many pauses where nothing is going on in this. Not to mention it would not play on a regular dvd player for me or in windows media player, I could only get it to play in VLC media player, and the entire video is split into 9 segments with an intro and conclusion, except it won't play from beginning to end, one must start each segment separately.
Now I must say that I am far from a "boat builder" and this video may be of more use to someone that already has a good deal of knowledge in boat building but to a beginner this video was not very helpful at all.
